Pepelu and his record numbers in LaLiga 

The Valencia CF midfielder won back 12 possessions in the midfield against Athletic Club, the only player in LaLiga 23-24 to reach that figure during a game

Valencia CF midfielder Pepelu achieved a record in LaLiga EA Sports 23-24 in the match played against Athletic Club de Bilbao. The player from Dénia recovered 12 possessions in the third of the midfield against the Basque team, being the only player of the current season in the national competition to reach that figure during a match.

Pepelu joined the Valencian club last July to offer great talent and experience to the Club's midfield. Since his arrival, the midfielder has become one of Rubén Baraja's regulars. The young player is the player with the most minutes in Valencia CF (1,975) and the fourth in all of LaLiga. His importance in the team is reflected in the participation in the game, the midfielder from Alicante is the second player who intervenes the most in the matches (63.9 actions), also the second in offensive participations (54.5).

He is a tremendously important player in overcoming the offensive lines of the rivals- he is the second player who makes more forward passes per game (34.4) and with a high percentage of success in passing (78.6%). Continuing with his offensive contribution, he is the second player with the most crosses (3.3 per game), after Gayà (3.5), and the first with respect to the percentage of success (32.9%). Likewise, he is the third player, also tied with Gayà, in terms of average percentage of successful dribbles (57.1%). And, as if that were not enough, he contributes goals. The Alicante-born player has scored four goals from the penalty spot with an effectiveness of 100%.

He's also good in defense. The midfielder from Alicante accumulates 134 recoveries, an average of 6.38 per game (the average for LaLiga players is 4.62). Precisely, in this aspect he broke a season record in LaLiga EA Sports 23-24 against Athletic Club: he recovered 12 possessions in the midfield third, no other player had done so this season.

Specifically, against Athletic Club de Bilbao he played one of his best games considering the statistics. He covered 11,229 meters (he has an average of 10,647.18), participated in 86 actions (the average for LaLiga players is 51.25) and won the 4 aerial duels he had.
